OpenDNS vs Google DNS

I used to use OpenDNS for quite a while (more than 2 years I think) and then switched to Google DNS sometime in 2010. No problems encountered since then until the past week when ZDnet, Yahoo! Mail, Facebook, Motorola, Inquirer.net, MIT OCW and a couple of other sites being hosted in the US start to display improperly or cannot display at all. Google DNS starts to act strangely, and when push comes to shove, I re-configured my router back to OpenDNS.

Lo! and behold, everything went back to normal. Well, back to life, back to my RSS feeds. Not surprisingly, Google DNS spared its own YouTube in this little fiasco…
